15 Jun Queen’s Birthday Celebrations
Saturday the 11th June saw Halesworth celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday with a picnic in the park in the sunshine. A jazz band kept the crowds entertained and the children were given a free ice cream. After singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to Her Majesty, the delicious cake made by Farmhouse Bakery was cut up and enjoyed.
Halesworth in Bloom organised an event at the railway station with around 350 people waiting for the arrival of the musical train. The Southwold and Reydon Corp of Drums alighted and played a selection of music. Teas and a beautifully decorated cake were also provided.
A big thank-you to all those involved who helped make the day a enjoyable success.
