Streets Alive! Bringing high streets to life!
This July we’re taking theatre to the streets in a new kind of free regional tour! Streets Alive aims to capture the magic of Suffolk stories and bring them to life on local high streets. Stilt walking, puppetry and music combine in this outdoor performance which will parade through the streets of Suffolk market towns and school playgrounds this Summer. The promenade will focus on two local stories –local heroine Margaret Catchpole who “borrowed” a horse and went on the ride of a lifetime, and 13th century North African musician, The Ipswich Man, whose bones were found in a recent excavation of the town’s Greyfriars hospital cemetery.
Free to watch Street Alive will be visiting Halesworth on Friday 22nd July 2pm - 3pm in the Thoroughfare.
Streets Alive is sure to be a magical experience that will enchant the whole family for free this Summer!
