Network Rail has announced that it will not be closing the crossing at Halesworth Station. It will be instead installing extra safety measures including gates and extra warnings to cyclists to dismount. The new gates and signs will be installed in the autumn and Network Rail will carry out two nine-day surveys after the installation to see if people use the crossing more safely.
