Project Brief Feb 2024

New Brand For Halesworth

Putting Halesworth on the map

The Marketing Project have relaunched the Halesworth town website. The new site retains much of the original content created by volunteers from Halesworth Business Group, but now reflects the new brand and has enhanced functionality. As well such as a dynamic events calendar and search function, it has been created with plenty of room to grow.

To promote all our wonderful, diverse businesses and organisations as well as events and everything the town has to offer, we have launched a new Facebook page - @visithalesworth
And this is only the beginning

By spring, a much more comprehensive version of this website will be unveiled – one which will appeal to residents, visitors and tourists alike – with varied content to encourage people to use the site and showcase all aspects of Halesworth.

We are encouraging all businesses to visit halesworthtown.co.uk and check your business listing. Please contact the Marketing Coordinator using the form on the contact page  if your business needs to be added or, if it is already listed, and you need a correction.

This will not replace halesworthtowncouncil.org.uk which will continue to provide civic information.

Scarecrow Success!

“Look at this! It’s a King Mario!”
True to Mario’s beloved character and desire to be number 1, he stole the hearts of Halesworth during the annual Scarecrow Fortnight this year. Hetty’s Little Copy Shop won first prize, with Gru
from Number 7 Hair taking second place. In third place was Willie Wonka at HUUS.
The town was buzzing during Scarecrow Fortnight running from 14th to 28th October with so many local businesses and charities taking the opportunity to get creative and involved. Alongside the
scarecrows we ran three treasure trails: pumpkins, ghosts and witches. All three trails were a great success and the winners were delighted with their cash prizes. A special
well done to Chloe the winner of the Pumpkin trail, who has been chosen to switch on the Halesworth Festive Lights on the 18 th November 2023.
In total, we raised £320 for Halesworth Christmas Lights and funded two craft sessions at Purple Pumpkin Creative Studios and a Mad Hatter Tea Party in the library.
“The fortnight was a great success and really engaged the whole community with something for all age groups to do or take part in. We wanted to take the time to say a special thank you to Halesworth Fairies for donating the prize money. And Andy from H.R.G. services for engraving the trophy for free. So, all hail King Mario and we look forward to seeing people’s new creations next
year.” Pauline Milsted, Co-organiser of the Scarecrow Fortnight.
