Town Council Vacancy

Halesworth Volunteer Centre - Award Winners

The Town Council are pleased to announce that the winners of the 2020 Tamsyn Imison Community Award are Halesworth Volunteer Centre. Their nomination by Halesworth residents was for ‘helping to support the frail, vulnerable, disabled and isolated residents of
Halesworth and the surrounding areas.’ The detailed nomination helped the judges to decide that the Centre deserved the award in a year that saw a greater reliance on volunteer services. The calibre of nominees was so high that Chair of the Council wrote to each one to let them know they had been nominated and that their efforts had been greatly appreciated by the town. The Town Council also thanks the five judges, two Councillors and three members of the community for giving up their time to help make this decision. There will be a small presentation of the glass trophy - restrictions permitting.
The nominations for this year’s award will be open in Autumn.
